LANDINI – AN EVOLUTION IN TIME
For over 120 years Landini has been leading the field in agricultural mechanization. Now as Landini moves towards its 125th anniversary more than ever Landini is leading the field in modern, fuel efficient tractors. Bringing together technological advancements and operator comfort, Landini has developed an entire new line of modern, emission compliant tractors for all walks of life.
For 2008-2009 Landini has introduced many new models to the family line-up. Starting with the proven compact series featuring emission compliant Mitsubishi diesel engines. An all new Compact cab, the 44 Series rounds out the compact line-up for 2008-2009. A new line of attachments are available to compliment the compact series.
Improvements to the Powerfarm Series have added Tier III Perkins diesel engines which offer improved performance and reduced noise levels. Comfort improvements to the cab version include tilt steering, improved climate control and easy clean interior materials. In addition the Powerfarm series remains available in 2WD and 4WD, ROPS and Cab versions, in addition a High-Clearance version is available with mechanical and Power shuttle options.
The Alpine model will see the introduction of a New Tier III compliant Yanmar diesel engine new for 2009. The Alpine model is available in either a mechanical shuttle or a hydraulic power shuttle.
The Rex and Vision series will also see new Tier III complaint Perkins engines for 2008-2009 model years. These durable and proven tractors remain true to the qualities that have made these the best selling Landini models the world over.
To round out the powerful lineup of Landini tractors the Landpower will see the introduction of an all new 6.7L Iveco turbo diesel engines, providing more power and reduced noise levels. Also new for 2009 will be the introduction of a totally redesigned hood and decals, giving the Landpower a refreshed appearance.

Landpower – A world of technology at your service

Welcome to the new Landpower Tier III – sit back for an impressive performance!
Landini started with the engine, replacing the existing Perkins 6.0L engines with new ultra efficient 6.7L NEF Tier III diesel engines. With air-to-air intercooler and powerful wastegate turbochargers these engines will power through the most demanding applications. In addition to proven power and efficient operation these new engines are also quieter thanks in part to relocation of timing gears and improved fuel delivery systems. This all adds up to cost savings to the end user!
To match the latest in engine technology Landini added an all new hood and graphic package. The Landpower Tier III now features a one-piece rear hinged flip up hood. No more side panels to obstruct daily checks or loaders operations. The redesigned hood has the Landini family feeling but includes new decals, logos and an advanced forward lighting system. Two additional high power headlights become part of the standard equipment.
Landpower is the ultimate in operator comfort with a new cab design to accompany the new style hood lines. The operator cab features a variety of creature comforts from: Deluxe air ride seats, air conditioned cab, left and right door entry, ergonomic controls and easy to read instrumentation. Combine all this with a multitude of transmission options and you will wonder what life was like before the new Landpower! From mechanical shuttles to the advanced Top-Tronic power-shuttle transmission with power-shits and 40kph road speeds.
Such standard items as three rear remote valves, dual lift assist cylinders for up to 8400kg of lift capacity. Dual speed PTO 540/1000 with mechanical or electronic engagement. A standard 4WD front axle features integrated braking system, or IBS exclusive to Landini tractors or an optional suspended axle. Both axles feature positive no-slip differentials.

New GLOBALFARM Series
A new series of tough and reliable tractors has been developed by Landini to extend its range into the utility market. The Globalfarm is ideally suited for loader work and field work. At 85 and 91 PTO horsepower respectively the Globalfarm 95 and Globalfarm 105 fill the gap between the 65 Series and the Powerfarm Series.
Equipped with the latest in emission compliant Perkins diesel engines, the Globalfarm delivers superior power and performance. The 4 cylinder turbo charged engines are coupled to the standard 12x4 speed transmission. Also available are 12x12 mechanical transmission and optional creeper gears.
A dual pump hydraulic system delivers oil flow to the steering and rear hitch/spool valves independently. Standard Category 2 rear hitch lift capacity is 2600Kg (5700lbs) on both models. Delivering 52.3LPM or 13.8GPM of oil to the rear remotes independent of the steering supply ensure that while using the remotes the steering system is not starved of oil, an ideal system for loader work.
Designed with the operator in mind the Globalfarm is a simple tractor to operate. A wide open platform with fender mounted handles makes it easy to step up. Simple accurate dash provides all basic tractor information. Left hand reverse lever makes for fast easy directional changes. A easy to open one piece hood allows for superior service access and good forward vision.

A synchronized gear drive transmission delivers power to the four wheel drive system efficiently. Combined with durable diesel engines offering excellent power, torque and reduced noise levels make them a pleasure to operate. The Cab models are 4540C, 5040C and 5940C.
The deluxe two door air conditioned cabs allow for exceptional visibility and are easy to get into. A deluxe operator’s seat, easy to read instrumentation and ergonomic controls keep the operator going longer in comfort. Easy to engage four-wheel drive and a locking differential will keep the unit on the move. Hydrostatic power steering provides effortless steering even in the most demanding applications.

The rear folding ROPS allows for good visibility and folds when reduced clearance is required. 2004-2005 Innovations Preview
As part of an on-going endeavour to develop new and innovative products, Landini is proud to present a preview of the innovations for 2004-2005.
In accordance with Tier II emission standards, all agricultural equipment must be equipped with new engines to reduce exhaust output and lower noise levels. Landini’s commitment to the agricultural industry for 120 years is an indication of the company’s commitment to providing the highest quality products and service around the world. With new designs and engines Landini tractors provide a comfortable working environment for operators while ensuring the utmost in safety.

Giving you more Power to Farm
The Powerfarm Series features 60 to 100 HP Perkins 1100 Series, 3 and 4-cylinder naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines. This series has been designed to meet increasing demands on the utility tractor ensuring optimum performances with low operating costs.
The Powerfarm series has a silent mount platform, gearshift levers to the driver’s right, and reverse shuttle to the left of the steering wheel, resulting in an ergonomic layout to reduce operator fatigue.
The rear 2 post foldable safety frame allows for operations in low areas while maintaining safety. The fuel tank is under the platform with a full opening hood for ease of service. The Powerfarm is equipped with a 4 wheel braking, a standard Landini feature. Suspended pedals make the Powerfarm a pleasure to drive and reduces vibration to the operator.
Small in Size, Big on Power
The orchard tractors will include the tried-and-tested REX models, well known for their quality, reliability and long life. The Rex F, GT and GE Series has been completely redesigned for 2004.
Starting with all new engines, the Rex models are equipped with the 1103 and 1104 Tier II Perkins engines. The 60, 70 and 80 models are equipped with 3-cylinder aspirated and turbocharged engines, and the 75, 85, 95 and 105 models are equipped with 4-cylinder turbocharged engines.
The base 15 + 15 speed transmission, is available with a Hydraulic Power Shuttle, new for 2004, with available Hi-Lo, creeper and hydraulic PTO to make the Rex a proven workhorse.
Designed to provide cutting edge ergonomics and an excellent degree of comfort, the new Rex series is completed with a new factory fit cab. The new Rex series will carry on a proud Landini tradition of top quality orchard and vineyard tractors.
The Little Big Tractor
The new Mistral 55 model is equipped with the latest Yanmar 16 valve Tier II engine and adds to the current Mistral range which provides extra power in a compact package. Rounding out the Mistral range is the all new Mistral America. This tractor also features an optional factory fit cab with air conditioning, and is now available with the optional hydrostatic transmission. It is a pleasure to drive.
A Proven Performer
The Legend TDI Series features new electronically controlled Perkins 1106 Series engines and redesigned cab interiors. It has also been improved by a complete range of suspended axles to be fitted on the new 125, 135, 145, 165.
The Legend Range feature 3 Models; the Techno, Top and Top-Tronic. Each feature a different transmission combination and a variety of other futures. When equipped with the Hydraulic Power Shuttle and three speed powershift (Top-Tronic), automatic climate control, electronic 3-point lift control, and field cruise control you will discover a legendary performer.

Landini/McCormick Canada opens new Canadian Corporate Office

Landini/McCormick Canada opened its new corporate office in Bradford Ontario September, 8th 2004. Construction began on the new distribution and training facility in the fall of 2003. The state of the art 40,000 sq foot building was completed in March 2004 and will serve both Landini and McCormick dealers in Canada.
"This expanded facility includes a new training centre, allowing comprehensive on-site dealer training for new product introduction, as well as, hands-on service training sessions." quoted J.L. Hans Bouwers, President. With minimal disruptions the parts, sales, marketing, and service departments were up and running in record time, ensuring that all operations of the business were supported during the move. Since the move the company has expanded it parts, sales and service departments to ensure increased dealer support.
Landini Canada Inc. was founded June 2000 in Newmarket, Ontario. As the Canadian branch of Landini S.p.A. (headquartered in Fabbrico, Italy), Landini Canada Inc. serves and supports all Canadian Landini dealers directly from the factory. In 2001 Landini Canada Inc. also became the Canadian distributor for McCormick tractors. The new building reflects the commitment to the Canadian market.
With the introduction of several new models and significant changes to the complete product line the year 2004-2005 will present consumers with more choice then ever before. Backed by a dedicated support team Landini/McCormick Canada is now better equipped to offer dealers and consumers with quality built and innovative farm tractors.

LEGEND - New Generation
Landini launches the Legend Series evolution on the market with five models and three versions
Avant garde mechanical, hydraulic, electronic solutions and advanced ergonomics in response to the requirements of an increasingly more demanding market where reliability, long-life, versatility, manoeuvrability, comfortable surroundings and safety must be raised to the utmost levels. This is Legend New Generation, evolution of the Landini Legend Series tractors that now faces the market with "Business Class" quality.
The characterizing features of the new range are the new Perkins green engines with power ratings of up to 176 HP, equipped with Fastram combustion chambers. The re-vamped design is in keeping with the Landini family style. The new cab with 6 pillars is a development of the previous cab and features high visibility. There is a new hydraulic circuit, up to 7 new hydraulic control valves, a new front axle (an axle with hydraulic suspensions can also be installed). There is also a new reinforced rear axle while 42" tyres can now be mounted.
The Legend New Generation Series includes the 5 Legend models: 120 - 130 - 140 - 160 and 180.
Each model is available in the three versions: Techno, Top and DeltaSix, which differ from each other as to the type of transmission and other technical details:
Techno (except 180)
SpeedSix mechanical transmission with 36FWD+36REV speeds, mechanical reverse shuttle and Creeper, 4WD with Spring-on engagement, mechanically engaged PTO and mechanical power lift.

PowerSix transmission with 72FWD+72REV speeds, hydraulic HI-LO, mechanical reverse shuttle and Creeper, hydraulic PTO, 4WD with Spring-on engagement, electronic power lift and air conditioning system (optional automatic air conditioner).
DeltaSix
DeltaSix transmission with 102FWD+36REV speeds with 3 speeds on load + hydraulic reverse shuttle, 4WD with Spring-on engagement, hydraulic PTO, electronic power lift and automatic air conditioner.
To ensure the utmost safety, the DeltaSix version is equipped with the Park Lock device which ensures the transmission is blocked when the tractor is parked on slopes, even with the engine off.
The new generation of the Legend Series has been designed to consolidate the Landini name in the 6-cylinder segment extending it through to 180 HP.
Landini intentionally maintained the name Legend, known on the market for its reliability, strength and long-life, diversifying the Techno, Top and Delta versions to a further extent in order to offer different specification levels and technical solutions.
The target of New Generation tractors is to strengthen the success enjoyed by the previous series, confirming a record whereby Landini has been a protagonist in the over 100 HP power range since 1977.

DELTASHIFT
The new 3-stage Powershift transmissions, hydraulic reverse shuttle and Declutch featuring the Legend, and Rex series have been given a single name: DELTASHIFT - whose logo emphasizes the accomplished developments.
Each range of products actually has its own gearbox and its own set-up, dictated by technical requirements to suit the power and size of the machines in question.
However, there is a common denominator and this is the electronic management system of the DELTASHIFT transmission.
It has been designed as a single block, a single plant with software designed to provide the best performances both on the field and on the road, guaranteeing the utmost reliability and safety.
A generational leap forward making Landini one of those manufacturers that has not only invested financial resources but also and above all human resources in the difficult field of mechantronics.
Adequate tests have been conducted during field work, transport and in mountain areas using a vast range of farming implements, trailers and front loaders, to make the machine as reliable as possible for any job, under any climatic conditions.
The quality control procedures are carried out by Landini's internal staff so as to supply only products at a maximum/top quality level.
A program called WEB GPI has been developed. This allows Landini engineers to make accurate diagnoses and undertake necessary actions accordingly. Dedicated courses are held and the relative technical literature is also available.
An omni-comprehensive outlook with all company divisions plus the Landini sales and service network as protagonists, testifying the utmost attention the company, is and will be paying to the DELTASHIFT project.
The project implementation has now consolidated, as it began in June 2002, and will become a common knowledge during EIMA, crowning the work that has been carried out and the serious way the DELTASHIFT project has been handled throughout the various product qualification phases, the tests conducted on the field through to final release of the project and manufacturing of current machines.
The latest generation machines are now in production and ready for the sales network.
Legend and Rex, a high technological level duo featured by a DELTASHIFT system, flanking the basic versions, which still remain in the price list to confirm the modular features of the Landini gearboxes.
