New Rex Platform series:
the orchard tractors of the new millennium

While it retains the name of the previous tractor range, the new Rex series has been completely redesigned with new features that will definitely consolidate its leading position in the sector of orchard specialty machines.

<= CLICK ON ANY PHOTO TO ENLARGE The new Rex Platform series has been specially designed to cope with all sorts of orchard growing problems. The basic transmission combined with a variety of transaxle, front and rear axle solutions with different wheelbase and track dimensions enables this series to be offered in a choice of three models designed for specific applications: • F model: (narrow orchard) ideal for work in small-sized narrow orchards • GE model: (low orchard) for use in low orchard plantations • GT model: (large orchard) for use in standard orchards and in open field. New Perkins 1100 series 3- and 4-cylinder engines compliant with " Euro 2 / Usa TIER 2" standard providing high fuel efficiency, low noise and reduced emissions, new five-speed transmission with Power Five, De-clutch control and Reverse Power Shuttle, new suspended platform with ergonomically arranged controls for ultimate comfort, new digital control board: these are only some of the key features of the new Rex tractor series. The new tractors features a hydraulic P.T.O. for enhanced implement performance. The front axle enables a wide steering angle for improved tractor maneuverability and is equipped with integral braking system for optimum braking performance. The hydraulic system features three auxiliary valves as standard (GT model) for maximum versatility.

In line with the Landini family style the hood features round headlights and is equipped with forward tilting cover to allow easy access for routine service. The rounded line of the hood and of the mudguard with foldable ROPS enables easy maneuvering in narrow spaces ensuring maximum productivity with all implements available on the market.

7 new Perkins 1100 series "Euro 2 1 USA TIER 2" engines with forward tilting hood
The new Perkins 1103 (3-cylinder) and 1104 (4-cylinder) aspirated and turbocharged engines, deliver 58.5, 66.9, 74,8, 68.2, 81.6, 91.9 and 98.5 HP (ISO).
They offer high torque backup, improved fuel efficiency, low noise and reduced emissions.
The forward tilting hood provides easy access to the engine for routine service and maintenance (fig. A).


Front axle of latest generation
The Rex series offers a choice of two front axles: narrow for the REX F and GE models and large for the REX GT model (fig. B).
Both axles feature four-wheel drive and 550 steering angle. The oil-immersed disc brakes, combined with the action of the rear brakes, ensure effective integral braking on all four wheels.
For the F model a 2WD front axle is also available.

Power Five transmission (40FWD+40REV) with De-Clutch Control and Reverse Power Shuttle.
The Power Five transmission (splitter gear with HI-LO electrohydraulic engagement for 20% speed reduction) enables the number of gears of the basic transmission to be doubled using the green pushbutton integrated in the gear lever (fig. D).
Power Five + Speed Five (basic transmission) + Creeper + Reverse Power Shuttle for a total number of 40FWD+ 40RIEV speeds. The De-clutch Control (orange pushbutton integrated in the gear lever) (fig. D) and the Reverse Power Shuttle (lever applied to the steering wheel) (fig. E), enable clutchless engagement and reversal of all gears.

Dashboard with digital instruments and on-board computer (fig. Q)
The stylish dashboard features digital instruments allowing simple and fast reading of all the information necessary for proper use of the tractor and implements.
The dashboard is further equipped with an on-board computer for automatic calculation of the worked surface area.

 Mechanical power lift
The mechanical power lift with controls located in comfortable and ergonomic position on the driver's right (fig. F) incorporates all main functions and regulations offering maximum comfort and fingertip control of implements.
Equipped with a cat. 2 three-point linkage (fig. H), the power lift ensures a maximum lifting capacity of 2600 kg.

Twin Lock and electrohydraulic 4WD engagement
The simultaneous lock of the rear and front differentials and the engagement of the fourwheel drive are electrohydraulically operated by button (fig. F).

High-performance hydraulics and auxiliary valve versatility
The hydraulic system provides a maximum total flow rate of 82 litres/min. The system features 2 simple- and double-acting auxiliary valves for the F and GE models and 3 for the GT model, including a floating one (fig. G). Easily accessible high-quality quick-release couplings ensure optimum comfort of operation and improved tractor productivity.

 

Driving seat mounted on suspended platform for enhanced comfort
The driving seat is mounted on an ample and comfortable suspended platform and equipped with ergonomically arranged controls (fig. 1).
The adjustable seat, the hydraulic steering and the height adjustable steering wheel further improve the comfort.
The foldable two-post ROPS makes the work in low orchards easier.
